I have six nephews under age eight. Two are still babies, but four are ages 3-7 soI knew that a remote control snake would go over really well. Most boys love all things snake and all things remote control so I thought this toy was a really neat idea. The remote control snake is recommended for ages 6+ I assume this is because of the remote control which requires fine motor skills to operate. My 3.5-5 year old nephews enjoyed this just as much as my 7 year old nephew, though it was harder for the younger boys to control the remote they still enjoyed trying and didn’t get overly frustrated. There are four buttons which are fairly small but they simply represent front, back, left and right so all the kids were able to learn to control the remote. Remote Control SnakeAll together, this requires 5 batteries (a combination of double and triple a) which is a bit of a bummer but we managed to find enough laying around the house and it’s been played with a lot and hasn’t required a replacement yet. I think most any young boy would enjoy this toy and it even caught the interest of some of the men – I don’t think men ever fully outgrow the interest in remote control cars (or snakes in this case). Uncle milton also has a remote control rat, roach and tarantula!

We were also sent the uncle milton moon in my room. This can be hung on wall and changes from full to crescent moon through 12 phases. My niece is four and has been intreguied by this moon and it’s often became the topic of discussion before bed time. For her its led to asking a lot of questions about the moon, stars, outerspace, etc. For an older child it could still be educational by leading to discussions about the planets, astrology, etc.  This requires six total batteries and is recommended for ages 6+, but as I mentioned my younger niece has enjoyed this a lot as well.

Buy it: You can purchase from uncle milton online at unclemilton.com.
