I recently received some Nyx Cosmetics lip products for review including some Nyx Extreme Lip Creams. These aren’t suppose to be lipgloss or lipstick but instead a mixture of the two. It has a slightly heavier, slightly thicker feel than a typical lipgloss but isn’t sticky like lipgloss is. I really like the shades that these come in because they add a bit of color without being real attention grabbing or looking unnatural.

They have regular lipgloss-like applicators which make them easy to apply with ease. The color stays for a couple of hours before needing reapplied. I did find that these seem to really highlight any cracks or rough spots on my lips so I only use them when I have used really strong lipbalm for a few days prior to applying so that my lips are totally flawless.

I was also sent some Nyx Color Lip Balms for review and I really like the way these feel on my lips. They make my lips so silky smooth that I just rub my lips together because it feels so soft. Yet, they don’t have that medicated, slight burn like really strong lip balms have. They come in short, chubby sticks that aren’t angled which makes it a bit harder to apply than other products because the stick is thicker than my lip so I have to watch closely or I’ll get color onto my skin. With a couple of traces over my lips they will really pick up the color well.

My favorite shade is Grazie which is a shade that really brightens up my lips without standing out too much or looking too unnatural. The shades I received look much different in person than they do on the swatches on the nyx websitee so I’d suggest checking these out in store before buying. These don’t highlight imperfections in my lips and you can build up the intensity of the color by adding multiple layers. Overall I really like these, I just wish they would keep my lips colored for more than an hour or two.
