American Idol will be having a special event in Detroit, Michigan on July 6th. I know so many people who love following the show (Ryan’s mom included). It’s so much fun to cheer on the singer that you feel the best and it’s neat that you can really make a difference in who wins by voting. It seems that for us, we follow some who makes it almost until the end – and then they don’t win first place. The july 6th event will include 10 previous american idol participants who will be putting on a show for the crowd. The participants who are performing include Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Colton Dixon, Skylar Laine, Elise Testone, Erika Van Pelt, Heejun Han, Hollie Cavanagh and DeAndre Brackensick.

In addition to the giveaway going on here on my blog, there is also a Nabisco spotlight sweepstakes. Winners from that will get a chance to be included in a special side-stage experience. Other winners will get nabisco or chips-ahoy prizes (who doesn’t love ritz and chips-ahoy??).

If you live close enough to Detroit, Michigan and would like to win two tickets to the July 6th show, you’ll also be able to win some chips ahoy and Ritz products. Seems how the event is so soon, we will need the winner to reply with their address by Thursday morning, so that we can overnight the prize to the winner. We are drawing a winner Wednesday at midnight and they won’t have the usual 48 hours to reply to claim their prize.

    My husband and I are HUGE American Idol fans we try never to miss a show and we vote on our favorites and were thrilled when several of our favorites made it into the top 12 and that Phillip Phillips won! : D
    We would be so excited and happy to go to the live concert we would have bought tickets ourselves by now but my husband unexpectedly lost his good job and we are on just unemployment while he looks hard for new management position in our area.
    Plus we live in beautiful Farmington Hills MI only 30 min from Detroit so it wouldn’t even cost us much gas money to get there if we are lucky enough to win.
