My Husband and Daughters love ice cream. It really doesn’t matter if the ice cream is in a bowl, on a cone, or in a milkshake, they love it! I recently surprised them with a treat, Wheeler del Torro’s Hot Fudge Sauce.

While growing up in Jamaica, Wheeler del Torro remembers preparing Jamaican specialties with his Father. It allowed them to bond while they prepared delectable dishes and shared cultural traditions. Wheeler became interested in the association we all have with our heritage and food. Wheeler says that it really fascinates him how food can connect us with history, our values, and can even create relationships. This passion has provided him with the opportunity to travel the world, author a book,  and open a café and dessert bar. He has also created a line of treats including gourmet non-dairy ice cream and Hot Fudge Sauce.

Our Hot Fudge Sauce arrived in a beautiful antique style glass jar. It reminded me of a jar that my Grandparents would have had in their kitchen….that alone brought back memories for me. Once we figured out how to get the Hot Fudge Sauce out of the jar, we all had a sample. It has a deep dark chocolate flavor. It is very rich and creamy. My Husband and Daughters decided they wanted to combine the Hot Fudge Sauce with vanilla bean ice cream to make a milkshake. They said it was the best milkshake ever!

Wheeler’s Hot Fudge Sauce is gluten-free. It is also made without the use of preservatives, corn syrup and artificial ingredients.

Wheeler del Torro is on facebook and twitter.
