Peaceable Kingdom has offered me yet another one of their wonderful games to review!  I always get excited when I hear from Peaceable Kingdom.  They offer about 14 cooperative games that are fun for the whole family.  I have a 4 year old who really doesn’t like to lose when he is playing a game.  I understand that he needs to learn that losing isn’t the worst thing in the world, but it is so nice to be able to sit down and play a game where there are absolutely no individual losers.  Cooperative games help children learn how to work together to accomplish one goal.  I think that lesson is just as important as teaching them that life goes on even when they lose.

The game I received for review is The Great Cheese Chase.  The game is for children 5 years or older and can have anywhere from 2 to 6 players.  I picked The Great Cheese Chase because I like to have games that can challenge Little C and games that he will want to play with for several years.  After receiving The Great Cheese Chase I knew I had picked the right game!  The object of the game is to get the mice up the path and into the attic for a cheese party.  Be on the look out for the cat though!  If the cat happens to pounce on a mouse then that mouse goes back to the beginning and starts his climb back up the path.  Once all 3 mice have reached the attic, let the party begin!

Little C is my only child so he typically plays games with my husband and myself.  He does have a couple of cousins who are about a year and a half older than he is so playing a cooperative game is great for them.  Little C and his two cousins are all boys and at an age where they are very competitive.  It can be a nightmare getting them to play nicely together.  I look forward to the boys getting to play The Great Cheese Chase together.

As of now, Little C is stuck playing with his parents!  Oh well!  He still had a blast.  To be a 4 year old he is very strategic and loves to play strategic games.  The Great Cheese Chase allows Little C to use his brain to figure out which mouse should be moved in order to get further away from the cat.  This fantastic game also allows us to all talk about what is the best move for the mice.  There are other surprises that you won’t want to miss while playing The Great Cheese Chase!

Peaceable Kingdom also sent us one of their fantastic sticker books!  Some sticker books can be very boring and lose a child’s interest in very little time, but not these.  You can choose from stickers that glow in the dark, dance and flicker or pop out under the view of 3D glasses.    There are sticker activity poster books and sticker activity books that do not include a poster.  They have many different themes to choose from as well.

For review I chose the Make You Own Sticker Poster that came with 3D glasses.  This book came with a poster, 3D glasses and plenty of stickers for Little C to use.  Little C absolutely loves stickers so I knew this would be perfect for him.  I chose the alien themed book because I knew this was something he didn’t have in his great sticker collection.  As soon as he got the book he wanted to open it up and use it.  We put the poster on his wall, which is 3D!  He loved that!  The stickers that he applied are also 3D.  The 3D glasses are great quality.  They are strong enough to last awhile and and don’t bother Little C when he wears them.  The glasses are a tad bit big, however Little C doesn’t mind holding them on his face when he is using them. Little C has absolutely loved his new sticker book/poster!
