Welcome to the 2nd annual MamaLOVE Giveaway Hop hosted by MamaNYC! Help us celebrate the joys of motherhood — and everything that comes with the pleasure of being a mother. It can be difficult to find a special and unique gift for each mom, so our goal is to present some amazing Mother’s Day gift ideas, which you have a chance at winning! Each participating blogger is posting prize giveaways valued $25.00 or more. This event starts on May 9th and runs til May 15th at 11:59PM (EST). Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom of this post and hop down the linky list for many more chances to win. Good luck and Happy Mother’s Day!
The sponsor here at Emily Reviews is Lexar. I believe that the key to purchasing a great gift is to specialize the item to the recipient. Sometimes, we have to get “generic” gifts based off of the persons gender, age or small details we know about them. Hopefully, that isn’t the case for mother’s day as we should know lots about our moms. Lexar makes a variety of products that would be great for moms who are tech savvy, photo addicts, or who just love their technology devices. I’m not a mom, but as a blogger and aunt to many, I would love to get Lexar items as gifts. I was recently able to check out the Lexar 16GB JumpDrive S73 USB 3.0 Flash Drive and the Lexar 16GB Platinum II SDHC Memory Card.
We have a desktop and a laptop, and we have a lot more programs on our desktop than our laptop seems how our laptop has limited space. So I often find myself having to switch from my laptop (which I use most often) to teh desk top for certain tasks such as photo editing because I my photo editor program is on the desktop. So having a flashdrive to swap files back and forth between the different computers is really important, and the Lexar Flash Drive has been really useful for that. I love that it’s purple because purple is my favorite color and my boyfriend is less likely to pick it up, use it and then forget where he put it last. At 16GB, it’s got plenty of space for what I want to use it for – transferring files and photos from one place to another. I don’t have to worry about remembering to delete the files all the time because even if I don’t, there is lots of room left over.
The SDHC memory card has been great for all kinds of things. Our smartphones, video camera, and my digital camera are all compatible with SDHC, so I can use it on all four devices. For my smartphone, it gives me enough space to download apps and take pictures. I can also add mp3 songs that I have purchased online onto the card and then put it into my phone and use it as an mp3 player. We have a USB memory card reader that works with the SDHC memory card so I can get photos from my phone or camera onto the computer without having to have batter life left on the camera or phone.
Both products are available in various sizes and of course, the price varies based on that. The 16GB jump drive sells for $27.99 and the 16GB memory card is $29.99. Both would make great mothers day gifts!
You can connect with Lexar on Facebook and Twitter.

I have never tried Lexar but sure would like to save money on tech essentials, like memory cards and flash drives. Sometimes Amazon has these for a great price so I should read up and have some on my wish list.
