Last year, my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was scary, and I feel so incredibly blessed and thankful to now say that she is cancer free. She has to take monthly pills that have some harsh side effects for her, and she will of course have to continue to be monitored for the rest of her life just “in case” but for now, her battle has been won. I was too little to be aware of what was going on, but my grandma also battled breast cancer and won. Though she later got a different type of cancer that took her life. It seems like almost everyone knows someone (or multiple people) who have had breast cancer before. Its terrifyingly common and I am thankful that there seems to be so many organizations out there who offer support and funding for breast cancer research.

One of those companies is called Ford Warriors In Pink. They have donated over $120 million to the breast cancer cause. Their idea is unique in that they don’t just seek out donations, but they sell products and donate a portion of the money to breast cancer causes. For example, you could purchase their Warrior Power Tote for $22 and $11.30 of that would be donated. I love how their website is upfront and honest in explaining how much gets donated as a result of your purchase. When you purchase, you get to choose which of four organizations you would like to have your money go for – Susan G Komen, The Pink Fund, Young Survival Coalition or Act With Love.

I have to admit that my review is a bit rushed as my item from Warriors In Pink just arrived today, but I wanted to include them in this mother’s day event. So I haven’t had the chance to wash or photograph my yoga pants but I have been wearing them since they arrived. I don’t own any other yoga pants to compare to, but these are SO comfortable! I feel like they are just as comfortable as sweatpants or pajama pants except they look more socially acceptable, haha. With mother’s day in mind, they would be great for moms who do yoga or workout, as well as moms who want to feel cozy without looking “sloppy”, or perhaps a mom or grandma who is battling health issues and has to spend a lot of time at home or in bed relaxing.

If yoga pants aren’t the right gift for your mom or the woman in your life, there are tons of other items available for women including tote bags, hoodies, t-shirts, tank tops, scarves, and more. They also have a section of products for men and children. So regardless of who you’re looking for a gift for, you’ll likely be able to find something that they’ll like while also donating to an important cause.

I typically wear a size 5 in juniors and with pajama pants or sweatpants I can always fit a size small, and mediums tend to be a bit too big if there isn’t a draw string or strong elastic. So I went with a size small and they fit, but they are a bit tight. Because of the nature of the material, they aren’t uncomfortable at all – they’re quite comfortable but they do cling a lot. So if you’re looking to have a less tight fit, I would suggesting ordering a size up. Also, I am 5 foot tall and have a normal length torso – my “shortness” comes from my legs. I did notice that these are not quite as long on me as usual. They are still too long, but not by as much. Though, the waistband can be folded over so if you are very long legged, you could perhaps just fold the waist over less than I do, and that might solve the problem.

Warriors In Pink sells these yoga pants for $36 and $17.50 of that will be donated on your behalf.
