Like most people, my house is full of electronics. From TV and home theater to cell phones, MP3 players, computers, small appliances, there are tangled and dangling cords everywhere you look! That was until I discovered a clever new products from Applecore International: Applecore cord managers.

Applecore cable organizers are a simple and practical way to keep your cords neatly wrapped out of the way. Why are they called applecores? A simple look at the shape of these cleverly designed cord managers will give you the answer. They are constructed in such as way that the two tips are larger and round while the middle is thin which makes them look like an eaten apple core. There is slit in both tips to keep the cord firmly in place so it won’t come untangled in its own.

Applecores come in 3 sizes:

• Small applecores are 1.5 in tall and 1.125 in wide. They are designed for the smallest cords such as headphone wires.
• Medium applecores are 2.125 in tall and 1.5 in wide. They are designed for computer cords, electronic cables and chargers.
• Large applecores are 2.875 in tall and 2 in wide. They are designed for power cords and extra long cables.

Applecores are made of a soft flexible thermoplastic elastomer which won’t damage your cords and are recyclable. So far, I’ve bent and twisted them to test their durability and they do appear quite sturdy. Because they are flexible, it’s very easy to slip any cord through the slits tightly. They come in 8 vibrant colors including red, light green, pink, black and white and more.

To use them, you simply choose how much cable you want to leave on each side of the applecore, then you slip the cable through one of the slits. Then you wrap the cable around the thin middle section and slip the cord through the slit when you’re done. Easy peasy!

Not only are applecores super handy at home and around the office but they also make travelling with electronics a breeze. Whereas before headphones, chargers, laptop cables would all get tangled up, now they are stay neatly organized. Because they are different colors, it’s also quick and easy to find exactly the cord you are looking for without digging endlessly through your bag (which is why I recommend getting different colors).

As my husband pointed out, travelling with applecores can also help you not forget any cables behind. If you find an empty one when you’re packing, you know you’ve forgotten something!

You can purchase applecores individually or opt for a combo pack. Anyone who has lots of electronics, or who travels when electronics is sure to love them! I also find them very convenient to store the small appliances that I don’t want to keep on the kitchen counter all the time such as my mixer, my T-Fal ActiFry, etc.
