I’m a really indecisive shopper when buying things for myself I research my options and reviews for hours sometimes. While I believe it helps me make smart choices on choosing products for me, which saves me money by avoiding poor quality stuff, I think it hurts me when it comes to looking for gifts. I always worry that it won’t be the perfect option for that person, so I often look around at potential gifts for weeks only to rush out and buy something hours before a birthday party. Gift cards can be a great solution for people who want to get someone a present but don’t know what to buy. Yet, gift cards can seem rather impersonal if you don’t get them for a store that fits the persons personality. For example, an Outback Steakhouse gift card would make a great gift for your steak loving friend, but if you aren’t sure what types of food they like, a restaurant gift card might be a bit risky.
GiftCard.com sells gift cards to all kinds of stores, so you can get a Dunkin Donuts gift card for a coffee loving friend or send a Babies R Us gift card to your friends baby shower. However, if you really aren’t sure where they’d like to purchase their gift from, you can skip the specific business gift cards and get a Visa gift card instead. Visa gift cards can be used anywhere where Visa debit cards are accepted. Worried that a Visa gift card might seem a bit impersonal? No need to worry because you can customize the gift card with a photo! I was able to check out a gift card with a photo of me and Ryan on it and was really pleased with how the photo turned out. Below you can see the photo I used and then a picture of the gift card I was sent. Of course, the yellowed portion isn’t on the card itself, I just wanted to hide the card number.
It’s so neat to have a card with a personal photo on it, I’m sure it would surprise any gift recipient on your list. The card has nice terms, too. There’s nothing worse than getting a gift card and finding out that a certain fee is taken out each time you use the card so if you don’t use it all in a single purpose, you can’t use its entire value. No need to worry about usage fees or activation cards with the gift cards from Giftcard.com. The only fees involved is a $4.95 per month service fee that will be taken out each month after 12 months of inactivity. So, as long as you use your gift card within the first year you have no fees to worry about at all. Activating the card is as simple as visiting the giftcard.com website and typing in the card number and a specal number on the back as well. It took less than 30 seconds for me to type out and then my card was activated and ready to be used wherever Visa debit cards are accepted.

I love gift cards – they’re my favorite gift idea to give AND receive. 🙂

I always love receiving gift cards! They’re really the easiest thing when you just don’t know what to get someone.

Perfect size, perfect color, you just can’t go wrong!
I have been pounding my head like crazy trying to figure out what to get the husband for our anniversary. He keeps saying he doesn’t want anything. But the best idea is to just let him pick out something he could really use…so for me…I’m planning on getting him a gift card, so he can get something great later. I didn’t know where to get the gift card, so this sounds fantastic to me!
