The Smoobee Magic No Cry Brush was created by a mom who needed to solve a problem. Unfortunately, she is not alone in this problem. Her 4 year old daughter would run away crying every time she needed to have her hair brushed. After consulting friends to find out what she could do, she realized that they all had the same issues. This instilled a resolve to find a solution to this hair brushing problem. After spending weekends for a year designing Smoobee, five prototypes were unveiled. After sending them out to friends, the consensus was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone loved the Smoobee.
We have an 8 year old daughter with long hair. I typically do her hair each day by either braiding or putting it into pigtails. I enjoy doing her hair but there are many days she’d prefer to have it down. I dread those days because the next day we pay for it. It’s always a battle of the snarls when we try to comb it the following day. She dreads it and I feel bad having to put her through the pain. I grew up with hair down to my waist until I was 14. I still shudder when I recall how awful it was when my mom would do my hair. I always felt like she made it hurt on purpose. Of course, I know that’s not true but when you’re the child being put through hair brushing daily, that’s just how you feel. Now I was putting my daughter through the same thing. She loves her long hair and wants nothing to do with cutting it so we needed to find a solution.
We were sent a Smoobee Magic No Cry Brush to help with our hair brushing woes. The first thing you’ll notice is that the brush comes with bedazzle gem stickers so you can personalize it. Our daughter was very excited to be able to have a brush that she “created.” She insisted on decorating the brush immediately. She spent about 10 minutes making sure the brush was perfect for her.
Now that the brush was decorated, it was time to put it to use. Today was a hair down day so typically a battle would ensue as we try to brush. I allowed her to test the Smoobee out herself first. She was liking it. Then it was my turn to do one final check to make sure the snarls were all out. She never uttered ouch once. (We typically hear it with each brush stroke.) It took the two of us a total of about 30 seconds to have her hair completely brushed through and snarl free.
I’m not sure who is more excited. We are both so pleased with this brush. We no longer have complaints or battles when it’s time to brush her hair and even better yet, no more tears! This is definitely a brush that every little girl should own. I have heard many moms say that they made their child cut their hair because they were unable to brush without a battle. No need to wait till you get to that point. Get this brush as soon as the hair is even close to shoulder length.
