These are my own honest opinions.

September is here (already!?!) which means it’s time to start thinking about Halloween and Halloween costumes. Last year, we kept it low key because my daughter wasn’t even a year old but I’ve always loved Halloween and this year, she’ll actually be old enough to start enjoying the whole trick-or-treating tradition.

I started browsing and came across Costume Discounters. They offer one of the best selection of costumes I’ve ever seen from classic costumes to popular movie characters and even vintage costumes from different eras. They have tons of options for babies all the way to adults which made is quite difficult to pick just one item for my daughter…

I ended up choosing the Pirate Princess Costume for Infant. This costume looks very fancy and complicated to put on but it’s actually one dress with the coat and belt attached to it so it’s really easy to put on. That’s a great design feature because I don’t think my daughter would sit still long enough for me to dress her up if I had to put 2 or 3 layers of clothes on her.

The costume also comes with an cute pirate hat with a skull on it. The hat has a band attached all around it to mimic a scarf. Unfortunately, the hat is a bit narrow and despite the band, it doesn’t stay on my daughter’s head. I decided to get an actual scarf that I can tie over her head and pin the hat to it which hopefully will be more secure. It might be that the hat doesn’t fit very well because my daughter is technically a bit too old for this costume (although based on the size chart, it should fit just fine). I’m assuming the fit on a younger baby with a smaller head would be better.

Speaking of size, I recommend you take a look at their chart because I ended up getting a size smaller than usual after measuring my daughter.

Overall, I think this costume is adorable. My daughter loves it too and she actually asked to wear it on a few occasions already. The design is quite unique and I was so glad to find a girly pirate costume (Jack Sparrow fan here!) I can’t wait to go trick-or-treating with her and I might even have to get a adult sized costume to match!
