*I was sent products from Natural Pet Warehouse in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
Not long after I got my pugs Frank & Beans, it occurred to me that Beans’ favorite treats were all chicken based of chicken flavored. I also realized that she just went nuts when us humans were having chicken as part of our meals, though she didn’t pay nearly as much attention while we were making other types of food even if they included other meats. It was pretty obvious that she just loves chicken so I found myself leaning towards buying chicken based treats most of the time after that. Which was fine until recalls started coming out for a lot of chicken based dog treats that were sourced (meaning the meat was raised) in China. While reading various articles about the recalls, I learned that dog food or treats can be labeled as made in the US as long as it is manufactured here – even if the meat is raised in other countries. I’m sure tons of pet owners don’t realize this, which is too bad.
Since the recall I’ve been really diligent to make sure that our treats, especially those with chicken, are not only made in the
US but sourced here. Due to allergies, I stick to natural dog treats and food for my dogs which helps a lot as natural dog products are much more likely to be made here than big name brand ones. Natural Pet Warehouse is an online website that specializes in natural pet products. Almost all of their items qualify for $5 flat rate shipping which I love because so many other pet sites have $7 or $8 shipping even for tiny items. They sell a variety of US sourced dog treats that are great natural & safe options but we were recently sent Tuckers Klassic Kellies USA Chicken Breast Jerky to test out with my pugs.
The 5oz bag is bigger than I originally expected, I included a photo with my hand for reference and I have larger hands than your average woman. The bag is resealable but inside each strip is individually wrapped as well. These treats are quite large for my little dogs so I like how they are really easy to break apart. I can just tear them in half with my hands. I found that these treats stay more moist than most dog jerky does, they almost feel wet. They do have a noticeable smell but it just smells like chicken so it doesn’t bother me personally and it probably is part of what makes my dogs so interested in them. The chicken used in these treats is human grade and is sourced in the US or Canada only. The place where these treats are made has USDA oversight so you can feel great about giving these to your pups. They are a great option for dogs with allergies because they only have one ingredient – chicken.
My dogs go nuts for these treats, they don’t usually pay much attention to treat bags but as soon as I take the bag out they start sniffing it and prancing around excitedly. They love them & I feel great knowing that they are a healthy, natural treat that is made right here in the US with high standards.

I never thought about natural dog treats until our last dog had a wheat allergy. He used to break out and we found out it was the dog treats.
Angel loves her treats. She looks for them everyday. I bet she would love these.
