My dad has seven children. I am his youngest, at 22 and his oldest daughter is in her mid 40’s. My oldest sister has a daughter that is a year older than me, who has two babies of her own. In total, my dad has 13 grandchildren ranging from 23 down to less than a year. Years ago, when the older grandchildren started getting school photos he would be given 5 by 7 size photos and that tradition continued with them until they graduated and began with the younger kids as they came along too. He also keeps 5 by 7 size photos of all of his children and some 5 by 7 size family photos of my siblings’ families. I’ve lost count how many photos that makes in total but his walls were being completely overrun by photos so he asked me to see what kind of solutions I could come up with.

I found a few group photo frames but most of them would only hold four or six photos max. He would have to have several of those to take care of all of the photos. I was thrilled to find a really unique solution from the brand Nexxt. They make lots of photo frames but the one that really caught my eye was the Nexxt Triple Panel Standing Floor Frame. Instead of taking up wall space, it stands upright on your floor and has 15 spaces for photos. The openings are 8 by 10 in size but each frame includes a cardboard inner frame that allows you to use them with 5 by 7 size photos instead if you prefer. I knew this would be a great way to get the majority of my dads photos off the wall and would display them much nicer. The Floor Standing Photo Frame
comes in three finishes – black, cairo and espresso. I thought that the dark brown of the epresso color would look great in my dads house so I went with that.

The backside of each frame has really sturdy fastenings that let you remove the backing to place in the photos. As I was taking the photos out of their old frames, I was really impressed with how much sturdier the fasteners were on the Nexxt frame compared to the ones in my dad’s frames. I have no doubt that the Nexxt fasteners will hold up through tons of photo changes. The cardboard frame that is inside of each 8 by 10 section is thinner material and you have to punch out the inside very carefully or the frame will rip. We used an x-acto style knife after we realized that using our fingers to punch the centers out was resulting in slight tears.

Once we got all of the photos placed into the frame we stood it up carefully. It was only then that I realized that the frame is designed in a zig-zag style, instead of having either side come in and forward from the center, it has to be “z” shaped because of the way that the hinges are arranged on the panels. I like this arrangement though as it allows for all photos to be seen at once. The photos look so much better when placed in this frame as they really were taking over his walls and seemed overwhelming before. I would definitely recommend checking out this or the other Nexxt photo frame options if you’re looking to organize photos. I hadn’t seen a photo organizer quite like this one that stands right on the ground and many of the other Nexxt products are unique and innovative as well. While the designs from Nexxt stand out from the crowd as unique and innovative, the overall look and feel of the pieces is very modern and stylish, fitting in perfectly with other home decor.
