I love to swaddle my babies. While I only discovered true “Swaddling Blankets” with baby number four, I had previously attempted swaddling with our first three children because babies seem happier and more content when they were wrapped up snuggly. I’ve been told that swaddling mimics the womb and, therefore, the baby feels safer when swaddled. I received the Aden & Anais Tranquility Bamboo Swaddles from Preggie Baby Boutique. These particular swaddles are some of the softest I have ever felt. Measuring in at a generous 47″ by 47″ each, they will be the perfect size to swaddle our new arrival for the first few months. The Aden & Anais Bamboo Swaddles are made from a breathable bamboo fiber muslin to help reduce the risk of over-heating and keep baby comfortable.
I like the fact that these swaddles are multi-purpose. Not only can I use these to swaddle our new baby once she arrives, but I will also be able to use them as a nursing cover, tummy time blanket, lightweight cover in car seat or seater, and -in a pinch- I’ve been known to use my precious swaddles as a spit rag. They wash up easily and become increasingly softer every time.
