Many of you know that our house is for sale. It takes a lot of time and energy to have your house on the market while you still live in it. We request that potential buyers give us 24 hours notice before wanting to see our house but that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes you have just a few hours to clean your house from top to bottom, stage it and get out before someone arrives to view it. We do our very best to never turn down a showing appointment because you just never can tell if that viewer will be the right person to buy your house.

I try to stay current with the deep-cleaning chores so all I have to do before a “showing” is tidy up a bit and I’m done. One of deep cleaning chores is making sure our floors are clean. We have a pet and my husband has a dirty job so I vacuum at least once every day. For light carpet dirt, I turn to Bissell Spot & Stain. I use the Spot Lifter and Power Shot Oxy cleaners. They work great at removing surface dirt in a hurry. Simply apply the products as directed and in minutes, your area is clean and smells fresh.

For more involved cleaning, I use a Bissell Deep Clean Lift-Off Pet Carpet Shampooer. I love the versatility of this carpet shampooer; it is both and upright machine and a portable machine. It has Heatwave Technology to heat the clean water and detergent tank before each use. Dual DirtLifter PowerBrushes work to agitate carpet fibers getting the deep down gunk. Surround suction helps remove excess fluid; this enables faster dry time. I use the upright machine on all of our large carpeted areas. It makes the job easy and fast.

I use the Deep Clean Lift-Off Pet Carpet Shampooer in portable mode for cleaning our carpeted stairs. The handheld accessories are really helpful tools. They make cleaning all of the corners a breeze and allows me to also clean the rise of each step. The compact size of the machine rests perfectly on the step allowing me to move quickly up the stairs.

Now that I have shampooed our entire house, I won’t worry as much about what the potential buyers think about our carpeting. Our rugs and carpet look much better. The house also has a nice light clean aroma.
