While there are times where I shop for the bottom price on a product, there is a lot to be said about quality too.  I have learned this lesson the hard way more times than I care to count because I purchased something for a steal of a deal to only have it fall apart, break, or be of disappointingly low quality.  Of course, then I have to replace the item which typically has me spending more than a quality product would have cost me from the start.  So now, I try to be much more careful and do more research as opposed to impulsive buying or grabbing the cheapest thing I see.  One item that I’ve learned this lesson with is bedding.  I have purchased so many bedding sets from adults to children’s and infants in my lifetime that it’s slightly embarrassing.  However, it took me many tries to realize that quality is definitely a big deal in the bedding industry.  Thankfully, I came across a great little company called Liz And Roo Fine Baby Bedding who does offer quality products exclusively made in the USA.  You can read my first review of some of their products HERE.

This time, Liz And Roo sent me their Gray Elephants Baby Pillow Sham And Insert for review.  Kids grow so fast.  While pillows are not recommended for the littlest ones, I have found that by the time our kids are about 2 1/2 or 3, they are ready for their very own pillow.  Before that time, we only use decorative pillows and shams as just that – decoration.  However, our current youngest (for just a little while more) turned 2 in June and I feel that he is starting to get ready for a pillow.  When we do family movie night and have a camp-out in the living room, he always runs and grabs a pillow and takes his place in the row on the floor by his big sister, big brothers, and dad.  While he typically still ends up in the crib before serious bed time gets under way, he really wants to be a big kid like the rest.  So I was really happy to get this Baby Pillow Sham and Insert for him.

Measuring in at 12″ by 16″, this is really a great starter size for kids.  Even our almost 4 year old really likes the smaller stature that this pillow and sham offers and wants to snitch it from his brother any chance he gets.  The Gray Elephants Sham is made in the USA from 100% Cotton Twill.  Liz And Roo does offer a nice selection of other prints as well but I found myself drawn to the elephants and since most kids love animals, I knew it would be a hit.
