The weather is changing here in Minnesota. The warm days are fewer and further in between now and the nights are getting cold. My garden is done and we’ve emptied our planters of flowers and put the pots away for the year. All of these changes also mean a change in clothing and footwear. Quality footwear is especially important here in Minnesota where the weather can get to extremes in the dead of Winter. It’s not unusual for us to see 40 below zero in scary wind chill temps. So I was happy to connect with Stonz Wear to share some of their products with you. They have a variety of quality items for kids of all ages, from infant on up.
We received a pair of Stonz Wear Winter Bootz in their Grey/Black color for our 7 year old son to try. These boots are waterproof and have a weather rating of -50oC/-58oF. The velcro closure at the top along with a drawstring elastic make this boot easy to get on and off while providing the perfect custom fit for each child. These boots are lightweight, which I like because they allow for easier walking, running, and playing. Cozy, comfortable, warm, and efficient. The perfect combination for Winter boots. Thankfully, we have not yet had to test these out with the below zero temps but I know they will be here before we know it and I’m excited to have these Stonz Wear Bootz to keep our son’s feet warm.
Another essential for our Fall and Winter weather is a great pair of mittens. The Stonz Wear Mittz are quality made and insulated to protect during even the harshest weather. I like the long “cuffs” because they are easier to put on the kids and allow them to play in the snow, go sledding, and build snowmen while keeping their arms and wrists covered and safe from frostbite. These Mittz are soft and cozy on the inside, flexible for agility, and even have my favorite feature: clips to hold them together when not in use! I can’t tell you how many gloves we’ve thrown away because we can’t locate the match. I think these would make a great stocking stuffer this Christmas too!
We also received a pair of Stonz Wear Booties in 3 Daisies Mauve and Linerz for our baby. Since she’s still pretty new, I haven’t ventured outdoors with her much but by mid-Winter, she will be able to join us on the milder days outside. When those days come, she’ll be prepared. These Booties will provide protection with the water and wind resistant materials while the fleece Linerz will add an extra layer of warmth. Both are machine washable and dry-able. This style boot is geared for infants and children through the ages of about 2 1/2. These are also lightweight, which is extremely important for the younger kids who struggle to walk well outdoors.
