Thank you to Strawberry Kids for providing me with a coat, free of charge, for review.  All opinions are my own.

Ahhhhh.  October is now here and that means it’s about time to break out the Winter coats here in Minnesota.  While we may still have some nice Fall days where we can go without any coats, those days are almost gone.  This whole week, my kids have been double layering with a sweatshirt and lightweight coat when heading outdoors.  Soon, even that won’t be enough.  So Strawberry Kids sent our son one of their Winter Coats for us to review.

We received The Robot Jacket in size 4 Years.  The first thing I noticed upon the coats arrival was the bright colorful and unique colors and design.  This vibrant coat will definitely stand out in the crowd and make it easier to spot our son when we’re with a group.  Plus, he loves the variety of fun robots all over it.  The coat has a nice stretchy elastic band at the wrists which will help protect his little arms from our freezing cold weather.  There is also a slight elastic at the bottom of the coat as well.  One of our son’s favorite features of the coat are the pockets.  Strawberry Kids has designed their coats with decent sized pockets that children will actually be able to fit their whole hands in to.  While they do not have any closure, they are deep enough that I would feel safe having our son keep his mittens in them.  (However, I would love to see Strawberry Kids incorporate a zipper on the pockets.)  The zipper zips nice and high and will definitely help keep the wind and cold away from little necks.

I find the Strawberry Kids coat to run pretty true to size.  I did try this out on both our 4 year old and our 2 year old and it fits both children.  It fits our 4 year old perfectly and has room for our 2 year old to grow.  The elastic on the arms and waist allow it to be worn comfortably by a smaller child even though it’s slightly big.

Created for children ages 1 to 4, all of Strawberry Kids’s jackets are lined with a grey polar fleece to keep kids cozy and warm.  Manjiri, the founder of Strawberry Kids, develops a limited number of designs each year which means that kids will have a unique coat that differs from all the typical styles being worn.  The best part is that Strawberry Kids’s coats are machine washable and water resistant.  I can’t wait to bundle our son up this Winter and let him head out in the snow in his Strawberry Kids Robot Jacket.
