I get bored with simple household items pretty quickly. I like to fill my home with unique decor that is interesting. Yet, I don’t have the budget to regularly replace items that aren’t broken or damaged. One item in my house that is pretty simple and boring is my set of dishes. When I was offered the chance to try out Create UR Plate dishes with interchangeable designs, I got excited.
Create UR Plate offers clear glass dinner plates that have a flat, circular center. They also offer decal stickers that are made to fit in the center of their clear plates. The decals sell for about $1.99 each so you can get a set of 10 stickers for $20. You can order matching sets so that you can design your plates for holidays like Christmas, thanksgiving and easter guests or you can pick and choose different designs for your everyday dishes so that your plates aren’t all the same.
The plates are heavy 10″ glass plates so buying your initial set is a little of an investment (set of 6 is $29.99 and shipping is costly because the plates are heavy and fragile). However, once you buy enough glass plates to serve all of your usual guests, you only have to buy decals from then on. You can buy a new set once you get bored with your current designs without having to buy all new plates.
The decals go under the plate (NOT on top where they would come in contact with food). If you use a dishwasher you remove the decals before washing. If you hand-wash your dishes you can leave them on if your water isn’t too hot. I washed mine twice by hand without a problem but once I left the water on “full hot” by accident and some of the decals came off in the water. Oops! If you remove the decals between uses, be sure to keep the decal backings to re-stick them to between uses so they don’t get dirty or dried out.
You can even make your own decal designs with pictures or added text which would be fun for birthdays or other special events. If you prefer disposable plates, you can order customized disposable plates at Create UR Plate as well.
I was able to get a set of 6 glass plates (29.99 total), and 6 decals (1.99 each) shipped to me for about $75 total.

What a cool idea! I love the Chevron Stripe- orchid Plate-Able™ for my daughter! She would love this for her own design for a plate of her own! Thanks for sharing and good luck to all!
