I have fine textured, volumeless hair. I have tried, different shampoos, conditioners, and other hair products with the hope of increasing my hair volume, but they always fall flat. I curl my hair and soak it with hairspray to only have it go limp in an hour. My hair is so frustrating!
While messing around online one day, I saw an ad for the new Voloom breakthrough hair volumizing iron. The ad said that Voloom is the first hair volumizing iron. It explained that it is a versatile tool that can help with flat, fine, thinning, aging hair. It was designed to quickly and easily add volume to your hair. Voloom is different from a flat iron, crimper and curling iron. Rather than pulling it through to the ends of your hair; you simply use it near the scalp on the underneath layers of your hair. Voloom takes you from “flat to full and fabulous in minutes.” I reached out to Voloom and they were happy to send me one to try.
At first glance, the Voloom iron reminds me of the 80’s popular hair crimpers. I read the instructions; application sounded easy. Per the suggestions, I adjusted the temperature setting to fit my specific hair type. I used the included comb and clips to section my hair. Then I applied Voloom to my hair near the scalp. The ad was right; application is easy and only takes a few minutes.
As you can see from the before and after photos, Voloom did in fact increase my hair volume. After a couple of hours, some of the volume had dissipated though not all of it. Next time I use it, I will do smaller sections of hair to get even better results.
Overall, I like Voloom. I think it is a quick and easy way to add volume to your flat, fine, thinning, aging hair.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list.
