My husband gets really dry and cracked hands and knees that get progressively worse come Winter. Part of living and working the farm means he has to wash, clean, and sanitize the milking equipment twice a day. The weather doesn’t matter and that means this twice daily task includes when it’s below zero. So his hands get wet and even though he dries them as best as possible, the biting cold still manages to take hold when he heads in for the night. His knee problems come from milking in a tie stall barn that requires he kneel down beside each and every cow, a minimum of two times each milking, twice daily. My husband has been using the Skin Rituals Organic Shea Butter daily for a couple weeks now and has definitely noticed a difference. His hands have been staying softer and the callouses on his knees have become softer and less irritated as well. The Shea Butter has a smooth texture which applies easily and rubs completely into the skin leaving no residue behind. While there is a slight earthy “smell” to the Shea Butter, it’s very faint and I only notice it when I stick my nose right up to the container. Once applied, I don’t smell it at all. Overall, he has been really happy with this product and hopes to see continued improvement on his knees.
