I’m 23 but I still battle acne just as much as I did at 15 or 16. I’ve tried more acne products than I care to count. Many reduce the size of pimples for me, but leave the surrounding area of my skin red and sore. This lead me to realize a few years ago that an all-over acne product probably isn’t ideal for my face because only some parts of my face break out and even the skin directly around a pimple can dry out and get red if acne products are used there.
While I’ve had a little success with a few acne products, none have been successful at preventing hormonal breakouts. While I have a bit of acne 24/7, it is definitely worse during “that time of the month”. The products that I have tried in the past can get rid of acne once it’s there, but it takes a few days and I’d prefer to avoid the breakouts to begin with.
When I heard that Acnevir® created a product specifically designed for adults like me who still have acne. It’s also created with individuals with sensitive skin in mind which caught my attention. I was recently sent some Acnevir® to test out, and while it’s too soon to know how it’ll work long-term at preventing my hormonal breakouts, it hasn’t caused any redness or soreness which I am thrilled about. Acnevir® has three active ingredients (compared to just 1 in most acne products created for teens). It’s a water-based gel that goes on smoothly and for me doesn’t burn or tingle.
Each morning I wake up, shower and then apply Acnevir Gel after I brush my hair. The product dries on my face quickly so I simply apply it, brush my hair and by then it’s dry enough that I can apply make up and get on with my day.
Acnevir® is available for purchase at Walmart. Like with everything in your medicine cabinet, please make sure to read and follow all label instructions before using.

I don’t but my husband does, put some acne cream on.

unfortunately I do, but thankfully it is at my hairline so I just wear my hair up so I don’t get oil on my skin usually.

I have adult acne to and I am a picker so I pick at any little thing on my face/arms I am getting to a point I am really in need of something. I tried looking into stuff I found this one product I’m looking into I saw in a magazine, but I want to try something else and this looks legit. Does it work for you?

I suffer from it. Washing my face morning and night is key to confidence.

I still get pimples at times. I wouldn’t say it is very bad. It happens mostly around a certain time of the month. It is hard to stay confident when I have a huge pimple on my face because I’m sure it is much bigger and more noticeable than it actually is, but my best tip is just to hold your head high and try not to look at other people’s flawless skin. Lol.

Sometimes I do have adult acne. My adult children do often. We try different products and try to cover it up the best we can. We try to stay confidence by remembering that nobody is perfect and keep trying to heal the breakouts.

I do have adult acne. It’s AWFUL. I am very fortunate, though, to have been using antibiotics for many years, and I haven’t had any breakouts or real problems since I began taking them. Still, I’d love to quit them…but I’m worried about my skin nightmares returning.

I suffer from adult acne all the time. I have tried so many things to get rid of it but it is stubborn and just hasn’t given in yet. I just picked up some new stuff last night while shopping from Neutrogena I am hoping will work.

I suffer from breakouts quite frequently. The big thing is to not stress about it because it will only make things worse. I do my best to eat healthy, exercise and deep cleanse my face.

My problem is on my back, so my advice is…keep your shirt on!

I do not but my husband does. Most of it is on his back and he can cover it up easily

Yes, I do have adult acne! It is getting more worse after I had my baby. I have tried many acne products but nothing works for me 🙁

I do suffer from adult acne and being in my early 50’s, it sucks! It is embarrassing but I have to say the older I get the less I care about what people are thinking about me. I try to distract from it with accessories so people dont focus on my face!

Yes but I feel confident under my own skin. Love life and I don’t worry about what others are thinking sure enough they are probably thinking something else.

Why is this no longer available at Walmart for a reasonable price? It worked! I can no longer buy it!
yes, I have adult acne and my way of staying confident is having to load a ton of makeup on to cover it which I am sure isn’t helping the problem. 🙁 I hope that I win so I can use this product and it will help with my acne.
