Like most father’s my dads age, my dad viewed working to put food on the table his primary job as a parent. He was well-loved by his coworkers because of his dedication to his job. Robowmow mowers are designed to be really quiet so you can set them to run while you (or your neighbors) and sleeping without worrying about getting a rude awakening.
While robotic lawn mowers are just starting to be talked about here in the US, they’ve been around for over 20 years and are very popular in Europe.
One of the first things that might come to your mind when learning about robotic mowers is their safety. Robomow mowers are designed with several safety features including the blade being fully enclosed and protected. They also have sensors and bumpers that react if they connect with an object and will stop the blade and turn in a new direction.
One of the new updates for 2015 includes GSM technology that lets the company diagnose and handle maintenance trouble before the trouble even occurs. Each mower has the ability to send telemetry data to the company if an abnormality is found. If a part (such as a motor) is starting to go out and the mower is still within warranty, the company will automatically send the replacement part to the owner in the mail! If the warranty has expired the company will contact the owner to let them know of the issue.
Robowmow mowers start at $1,099 making them competitively priced with many riding lawn mowers.

That’s the coolest thing! I don’t know that it would save time at first, though – my husband would sit back and watch it for entertainment 🙂
