Pets are a truly amazing addition to many families. We actually have three dogs currently. Our oldest is over 15 (people) years now and life has been hard on her. She lost one of her back legs years ago to a combine accident and I can still remember calling my husband in tears saying that I would pay the $1,000 vet bill so she could have lifesaving surgery. The days after the accident were tough and I spent hours and hours with her coaxing her to take her medicine and tending to her wound. However, she had been there for me through our miscarriages and has always been a loyal dog. Watching her now as she is aging is hard as we all understand she may not be with us much longer. To prepare and make the loss easier on our children, we decided to add to our family. Our new little pup, Angel, has only been with us for a few short weeks but we can’t remember life without her!
