My husband and I try to find fun ways to spend time together with the entire family. Sometimes we’ll head out to a local playground. Other times we make an ice cream run to the local DQ for a cool treat. However, one of our favorite surprises we like to do with our kids once or twice a month is a Pizza Party Movie Night. After evening milking, my husband will run pick up a delicious pizza from the local gas station and the kids and I run around excitedly setting up for our living room picnic! (Wow, now I’m really hungry just thinking about this!) Once he’s back, we all settle in on our picnic blanket and watch a family friendly movie while we eat. Today, I’m sharing that Mill Creek Entertainment has some great new family friendly movies available Summer of 2015.
Summer’s Shadow
Released June 2nd, Summer’s Shadow encompasses the love of 12-year-old Summer Larsen and a stray dog. Shadow, named because she follows Summer around, shares a special bond with her newfound owner and Summer will stop at nothing to care for her ill friend. Based on a true story, this DVD is sure to be a family favorite.
Ugly Benny
You should never judge a book by its cover and the same holds true for pets. Benny may have been a frizzled, fuzzy, ball of hair when he was dropped on the steps of the pet store but Sam and Emma loved him just the same. Those lovable eyes capture the entire town and this uplifting inspiring story is great for all ages. Ugly Benny will be released July 7th.
Designer Pups
Coming August 4th, Designer Pups is sure to please. The young upcoming fashion designer fails to land her desired internship but catches her big break when she meets up with a celebrity. Stacy and her pups become an overnight success. But the story doesn’t stop there, her pups get dognapped!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

I actually own a bunch of their 50-packs. They’re a great bargain and there’s always a fair number of decent movies amongst the bundle.
