The old saying goes, “A dog is a man’s best friend.” We currently own three dogs and definitely agree when people talk about their pets being members of their families. My husband and I got our first dog together after we miscarried our first baby. Growing up, my husband always had dogs around the farm and he knew how healing it can be to have a pet around so we went and bought Sammy from a rescuer. So Sammy was truly a blessing and helped us through our very difficult first year of marriage. We also inherited “big dog” aka Tipper when we bought the farm and my in-laws moved to town. While they tried to bring her with, it was clear she was miserable and needed the freedom that she had always known out on the farm. Finally, we added our littlest member, Angel, a couple months ago. She has been a fun little addition as she loves to cuddle in laps, fetch, and play with everyone.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
