Even though it’s Summer and we are spending a lot more time outdoors, our kids still take time to play games too. Whether it’s a rainy day or just one of those scorchers where the only relief is heading in for some air conditioned comfort, playing games is a great way to keep the kids entertained, engaged, and even continually learning. A great resource for games that we love is Blue Orange Games. Today, I have two of their new releases to share with you.
In the new Blue Orange Games line up is the fast paced, fun, speed memory game Rooster Run! Kids love the added element of the fun Rooster Rings as they race to find the earthworm tokens that match their cards each round. Geared for ages 7 and up, players begin by sliding on their rings and clucking like a chicken, then it’s time to start flipping over Earth tiles to find the perfect dinner. After two matching worms are found, the player yells “Cock-a-doodle-doo!!!” signaling the round ending, and points are scored for correct matches while the person who ended the round may also be penalized for any incorrect worms. Rooster Run accommodates 2 to 6 players and lasts about 10 minutes per game.
Another one of Blue Orange Games newest offerings is Gigamons! This game offers a unique twist to the classic memory game while being packed with fun and special powers as kids head out on the quest for magical Elemons. Enter the Wizards Guild where your goal is to summon Gigamons. The apprentice who is able to summons the most Gigamons becomes the Master of the Elemons. Geared for ages 6 and up, kids use their memory to find matching pairs of Elemons to catch them and trigger special powers. Once a player gets 3 Gigamons, they win! Gigamons accommodates 2 to 4 players and lasts about 15 minutes per game.
As usual, Blue Orange Games has created some more amazing games for families to enjoy. My husband and I were just talking about how awesome it is that there are creative people who can do come up with new, exciting, and fun games and Rooster Run and Gigamons fits right in.

These are really unique games and I too marvel at how creative the game developers are! I love those rings and the games look really compact so they would be easy to tote around.
This is great for the girls. They love board games. I know they will like these.
