More often than not, my kids take a lunch from home to school. I have them do this because I can (somewhat) control the foods they eat and because it is a huge financial saving. Our school hot lunches are over two dollars each. When I make a lunch from home, I would be willing to bet it cost me less than a dollar. Over the school year, that saves me at least a $150, per kid.
To keep my kids’ lunch fresh, we use Built NY insulated neoprene lunch totes. We have come to rely on their durability.

The Spicy Relish Lunch Tote is a roomy bag; it is approximately L 13.4″ x W 7.1″ x H 10.5″ in size. The Spicy Relish Lunch Tote has a secure top zipper and an interior neoprene pocket to store your utensils and napkin. It also has a removable shoulder strap to make carrying it more comfortable.
A Bistro Lunch Tote will fit your delicious lunch nicely. It is L 9.4″ x W 6.3″ x H 10.4″ in size. The Bistro Lunch Tote has a mesh pocket inside to hold your special treats. The top of the tote has a heavy duty zipper and a removable shoulder strap.
Why neoprene? Neoprene helps protect against bumps and drops. It also contains leaks and spills. Neoprene helps hold temperatures longer…cold will stay cold and warm will stay warm.
Built NY Lunch Totes are machine washable. Make sure you remove the shoulder strap before washing. For best results, hang your Built NY Lunch Tote to dry. When it has thoroughly dried, you can store your tote flat until you are ready to use it again.

I love that it is machine washable. That is important because they don’t always make sure empty containers are closed tight before they put them back in the bag.
