It’s inevitable, kids are going to get sick and will likely miss a day or two of school. What can we do to be prepared for illness? Have comforting products on hand and a trusty thermometer.
I use a Kinsa Smart Ear thermometer. The Kinsa Smart Ear thermometer gives a one-second infrared, inner ear, temperature reading. The Kinsa Smart Ear thermometer is Bluetooth enabled; however, it can be used with our without your smartphone. If you decided to use the free Kinsa app, the thermometer will share information with your smartphone. It can store up to 50 temperature readings. When your thermometer detects a fever, the app will give caretakers guidance on what steps to take next.
We have had our Kinsa Smart Ear thermometer for a few weeks now. We had a couple instances where we thought a fever had developed. I easily and quickly took a temperature reading with the Kinsa Smart Ear thermometer. It showed me that the temperature was in the normal range. What a relief!

I have an earlier, smaller version of this brand and like the updated technology. I remember when we used to have to shake the thermometer down before using it! And never mind the mercury they used in those old thermometers. This one looks nice.

Love the kinsa thermometer, I got one from a baby event I attended. Such a great idea, makes monitoring temps much easier!
