As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, my husband and I were in the process of getting licensed to provide foster care these past couple months.  One of the requirements that our county has is to have some sort of weather radio or way to get severe weather information.  It had to be portable as we would need to be able to take it down to the basement  when we would seek shelter.  So when Motorola reached out to feature their Motorola  Talkabout T480 in conjunction with getting ready for Emergency Preparedness Month coming up in September, I was thrilled to cross one more thing off of our list.

After unboxing our Motorola Talkabout T480, there was very little prep needed to get it up and running.  As you can see, it comes with the rechargeable batteries, a stand, and a power cord as well as the actual unit itself.  Then, simply insert the battery, plug the charger into the outlet, and plug the unit into the charger.  Then we were ready to roll!

Overall, this is a really awesome unit.  My husband especially loved the easy to read screen and the fact that the unit is easy to use.  He was also quite impressed by the light!  The Motorola Talkabout T480 has some really great features that are sure to come in handy whenever we next experience severe weather.
