With August in full swing, it’s time to the make the most of each warm summer day that we see here in Minnesota. The kids and I have been spending lots of time at the local beach as well as heading to the parks for play dates. I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

why is it kids fight it if you want them to lie down for a nap but they’ll beat feet to be the first to lie down in a hammock?

I would love to win this for my 3 grandchildren. They have so much fun outside swinging, playing ball, etc. This will be another thing to encourage outside activities. When I was young we played outside everyday, not lay around the house all day. We have a very large place for the kids to be outside and safe.
Our hammock was so old the rope holding it broke. We sure do miss it. My little guy even moved it to his fort and brought it in when it broke. We would sit in it and read together.
