Does making homemade bread and biscuits scare you?  I was really intimidated for years over the prospect and then the very first time I tried my hand at homemade bread was a complete flop.  But lately, I’ve gotten the itch to give it another go and I’ve been trying out new recipes.  I guess the main reason being that biscuits at the store are fairly expensive, (in my opinion), and they don’t stay fresh for long.  Since I’m not much of a meal planner, even if I buy some biscuits, they dry out within a couple days before I make a complimentary meal.  So just recently, when the family who gives our kids music lessons sent me home with a pan of dinner rolls that were amazing, I was so happy that I wanted to share the recipe with you all today!

In the past, many of the dinner rolls I’ve tried have very little flavor.  That is just not the case with these Herb Dinner Rolls!  And I loved how easy the entire process was to make while the results were absolutely amazing!  My entire family devours these rolls every time I make them, including my 6 year old Mr. Picky!

Are you using dried spices or fresh? These sound awesome! I’d make them for Easter but not this year. I’m not going to be able to make a lot for dinner.

These sound great. I am not good at making bread either. I will try it this weekend. Thank you for the recipe.

Wow! These look and sound amazing! I love baking yeast breads, but for some reason I always think it’s complicated and save them for special occasions. When I make them I always think it wasn’t that hard. I’ll definitely try these! Thanks!

I like these are different, I bet the herbs make them smell wonderful when baking! I also like the ease of the recipe. Rolls are great especially when homemade. Nice recipe!

  • Homemade rolls are the best! These look so yummy 🙂

I love the taste of yeast in rolls. Well worth the extra time it takes to cook them.

My family loves bread and am looking forward to making these soon for Sunday dinner!

  • Yes, they do scare me because I’ve failed a couple times. for silly reasons but still. Haven’t done them perfect yet like yours. will try this out! Pinning too!

    • I failed many years ago and that scared me off for a long time. This recipe is fairly fool-proof since all the ingredients just get dumped into one bowl right from the start!

      Good luck!

you make this look so easy and simple………….. I am one of those people that can screw up frozen bread dough.

My ex sister in law makes the best rolls using frozen bread dough. I have tried and tried and either she is not telling me something or I just have no skills with bread/rolls

Thanks for sharing your recipe, our bread maker broke and I have not been making homemade bread in a while. These look so good I have to try a batch.

I love making bread but don’t do it very often because I eat too much of it. Nothing is better than bread or rolls hot and fresh from the oven. This looks like a good recipe.

So, I looked over the recipe and they really don’t seem very difficult. I always thought making home made rolls might be a bit much, but I think I can manage this one and the look fantastic.

I am not in to making the dough from scratch thank goodness for frozen dough. I have never used herbs in my rolls but I think I am going to steal from your recipe and mix all the different herb in the dough.

  • Heather

So, I made these buns on Christmas, and they were a huge hit with my family. I sliced them and put egg, cheese and turkey sausage inside. It was so yummy. Thank you for the recipe.

  • MeMe R

Thanks Amy for sharing how they came out. I had to scroll through and was losing hope that no one actually made the recipe 2nd hand. They look good and easy. I make bread all week long for myself and husband. I can never have too many though since he is a big bread guy and I can’t tolerate gluten.

  • Mary GArddner

I am excited to try these. I am not much of a bread maker but these don’t look too complicated. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Amanda! I am a pretty good Cook but I don’t have much success when it comes to make rolls. However, this recipe is easy enough that I may even be able to make it.

These rolls sound so aromatic and I bet they are so delicious served with butter or olive oil.
