I have been a fan and customer of the company SwimZip since way back in 2012. Our very first SwimZip was their navy blue rash guard with a little turtle in the corner but I’ve loved watching the brand grow, expand, and flourish in the years since. Before delving into the details about the two particular SwimZips that we received for this review, I want to point out two great features about SwimZip. First off, the most noticeable is the full zipper down the front of all their rash guards and sun suits. As a parent, I have to say that this is GENIUS! I have struggled getting wet swimwear off of our kiddos before finding SwimZip and I don’t miss those days and neither do the kids. This design feature makes putting on and taking off both wet or dry suits so much easier. They also took care to design a zipper garage at the top of their pieces to safely tuck the zipper in and avoid any pinching. The other thing to note is that all of their sun protective clothing and swimwear features UPF 50+ UV coverage for ultimate protection against the sun.
Now on to our first suit! Our almost 5 year old boy loves dinosaurs so we went with the Boys Dino-Mite Orange Swimsuit Set. This two-piece set features a gorgeous aqua blue rash guard and orange dino print swim trunks. It’s fresh, fun, adorable, and the perfect suit to help little boys usher in the new Summer season. As mentioned above, the full length zipper helps avoid beach time melt downs as there is no yanking over the head required. We love it!
Then for our youngest, I just couldn’t pass up the Sassy Surfer Pink Romper Sunsuit. She actually had this exact sunsuit as a baby and it’s getting a bit snug so I was thrilled to size up in it and have this adorable style for her again. Pretty in pink polka dots with ruffles to boot, it’s the ultimate girly sunsuit. Featuring long sleeves and coverage down to the ankles, it’s works great for our fair skinned little redhead.
As I was browsing the SwimZip site, I noticed something I hadn’t even realized they carried, their Sun Hats! Since we spend a fair amount of time outdoors, at playgrounds, swimming at the beach, and going to parades, I fell in love with the style and ordered one for each of our five kiddos. They are available in a variety of colors but I went with Navy, Black (x2), White, and Pink. (I also ordered two SwimZip sets along with the hats and shipping was only $4.95 for my entire order. So reasonable!) We can’t wait for them to arrive.

I have not heard of SwimZip before. I love the idea. My granddaughters are in Florida right now. They are wearing leggings and tshirts. I know how hard it will be to get them off after playing in the water and sand. This is a great idea.

What a great idea. I have to pass this to my daughter. I have a 3 year old grandson and it is hard to get the tops off when wet. He doesn’t like it and makes his feelings known!

To be honest, I never really heard of something like this! It is such an amazing idea! And they are so adorable! I love that they are UPF 50+ UV protection, that is so important to the little ones. I will definitely be looking into these as the warmer days come around.
