Nutrisystem extras condiments

I am a Nutrisystem nation blogger. I am provided with a Nutrisystem plan in return for regular updates. All opinions are my own.

Two of Ryan’s favorite entrees on Nutrisystem are the lunch hamburger, and the dinner meatloaf sandwich, which is very similar to a hamburger. He eats both of those entrees pretty regularly. In the past, Ryan was not particularly interested in condiments. However, he has realized over time that adding a condiment to a hamburger can make it seem like a different meal almost.

On Nutrisystem’s grocery guide there is a category for extras. These are primarily condiments, and they have up to 30 calories per serving, and you can have up to 3 “Extras” per day. Here are a few of the condiments that Ryan uses on Nutrisystem. All of them are under 30 calories per serving. Some are even 0 calories.

Most of them he uses on his hamburgers, while the sriracha he usees in eggs (a PowerFuel he uses). These are just a few examples, though. You can also use mayo, cream cheese (reduced fat or fat free), fat free salad dressings and more.

Ryan isn’t particularly obsessed with hot sauce or sriracha, but I know many people are. With it being 0-calories it is an “free food” item on the grocery guide meaning you can you can really get creative and use it on anything you deem fit on Nutrisystem, without limitations.

Do you like using condiments to add variety? What types of foods do you use hot sauce on?

  • I love changing up condiments! I’m pretty sure we have more condiments than actual food in our fridge! LOL

  • Condiments are always great and I love variety

I am afraid like your hubby I am not particularly fond of either hot sauce or this siracha phase. The exception to hot I guess for us would be a horseradish, Maybe it is a regional thing, but that we love, and I would imagine that is a zero too. I dont know if kraut would be a zero, but here it is kind of a condiment.

I really can’t eat hot sauce any more. But I do eat mustard which is 0 calories on a lot of items. It gives me the spice I need to make a meal interesting.

I like to mix up the taste of hamburgers with sauces. BBq sauce is a great way to make your burger taste diferently, and don’t forget to add veggie toppings – those are always healthy!

I can definitely see how condiments would make the same meals more exciting and appealing to eat. I am a big fan of ranch, but unfortunately there are a lot of calories in it. I love using BBQ sauce on my burgers.
