In reply to librarypat. That's so neat that you made your own! Child carriers don't seem to be widely used in my area yet but they are so popular among bloggers and others online. They certainly seem handy to me.

When my girls were born, you couldn’t get baby slings or front carriers. I made my own. My children are lucky to have so much available for their babies.
