Kikkerland owl doormat

*Thank you Kikkerland for providing me with products for review. All opinions are my own.

I love unique home decor. I love squirky and silly practical items that are made to look like other things. If you or someone you know is into quirky home decor, be sure to check out the Kikkerland brand this Christmas. I was sent several items for my home and they were all well made and make me smile each time I see them.

Kikkerland owl doormat

The first item I selected is the Doormat Owl. My old doormat/rug was an promoted as an indoor/outdoor rug but it would get saturated with water in the winter and it just wasn’t pleasant. The Kikkerland Doormat Owl is much more ideal for using indoor or outdoor because it’s not a thready material that gets sopping wet. It’s also just cute to look at each time that I get home. Almost everyone who has came to my house in the last few weeks has commented on it including the UPS man!

Kikkerland Monster Head Chip Clips

The next item that I went with was a six pack of monster-head bag clips. They are super cute and work great at keeping chip and other snack bags closed. They would make a really practical stocking stuffer idea for adults. I know my household is often in need of more chip clips but it’s rarely something I think to pick up. At $4 for the set of six they are a great price.

Kikkerland reuseable twist tiesKikkerland reuseable zipties

I was really intrigued by the Zipper Bag Ties. These are rubbery feeling and are kind of like a reuseable ziptie. They twist around and fold into themselves to keep a grip around objects. They only stay in place if the object you wrap them around is fairly skinny (the majority of the zipper has to be pulled through before it begins to hold) but I’ve found them useful for holding shut bread and bagel bags after we lose the original bag tag or twist tie. They’re also a great size to use as stocking stuffers.

kikkerland miniature first aid medicine cabinet box

My apartment came with a tiny bathroom so I’ve been working on finding small bathroom storage solutions since I moved in. The Kikkerland First Aid Box (Available in white or red) is one solution that I found. It’s a miniature medicine cabinet that can hold first aid gear, medications or other similar items. It can be left on a shelf (or in a cupboard) or hung up against the wall. It’s very heavy & sturdy has built in dividers in both halves of the box. It isn’t big enough to hold all of my household medicine but it works fine for holding the medications that we regularly access and I leave the lesser-used medications in another area out of the way.

jaws shark shower curtain

I first saw the Jaws Shower Curtain on amazon a few years ago and I have wanted it ever since. We are actually preparing to move in about two months so I haven’t put it up yet so that I can use it once we move. I am so excited to use it though because it’s so weird and quirky that I know it’ll make me smile everytime I enter the bathroom. It’s designed to look like waves and a shark and definitely grabs more attention than your average shower curtain. It would be perfect for a boy or teenage boy bathroom or for people like me who like to have a unique or surprising piece of decor in every room.

Kikkerland fold up step stoolKikkerl Rino Step Stool $12.95 holds up to 300lbs folds flat

Last but not least, the Kikkerland Rhino II Step Stool. I know several people who own these Kikkerland stools and after owning one myself for a few weeks I completely understand why they are so popular. They fold up so tiny that they can be put away just about anywhere (I put mine between my kitchen trash can and wall where it’s hidden) and unfolds into a perfect step stool that can hold up to 300lbs. I am only 5′ tall so I use mine to reach my upper kitchen cabinets among dozens of other things. At just $12.95 it’s a bargain buy that I wish I had purchased before. It’s so much easier to bring my Rhino step stool over to climb on than dragging a dining room chair like I used to. Plus, I love how it folds away so small that you don’t even notice it being stored.
