Several years back, I started hearing about all the benefits of coconut products.  From coconut oil to coconut sugar and flour, there was a big buzz about the fact that these were healthier options than the typical grocery store items.   Since we’ve taken strides to become healthier and implement more wholesome ingredients when possible, I was really excited when I heard about Coco Treasure because they are on a mission to provide USDA certified natural and organic coconut products for customers.

Sending a big thank you to Coco Treasure for sending us some of their yummy Coconut Products!

I received three of Coco Treasure’s products to try out with my own family.  The first one we tried was their Organic Coconut Nectar Syrup. This was completely new to me as I’d never even heard of it before so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect.  On the Coco Treasure website, it says that their Syrup is a versatile substitute for white sugar as it gluten free, high in nutrition, low on the glycemic index, and tastes lightly sweet.  Since we just so happened to be having breakfast for lunch, I decided to try it on our pancakes.  While it’s a little thicker than most syrups, we just used less and spread it out.  While I was a little nervous as to what it would taste like, I was thrilled that it offered a deliciously sweet flavor and was the perfect topping!  There is no flavor or aroma of coconuts which makes this a great alternative for anyone who doesn’t care for coconut taste.  I can’t wait to utilize it in recipes in place of white sugar.

Next up, since I have a sweet tooth, I decided it was time for a batch of afternoon cookies.  So I jumped over to the Coconut Treasure website and scoured their recipe section for some inspiration.  I quickly settled on some No Bake Chocolate Cookies.
