Who doesn’t love a good brownie?! Just because my family follows the ketogenic diet, doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy our sweet treats every now and then. Brownies are one of our favorite “go to” desserts.

When you have a good basic brownie recipe, you can do a lot to change them up. Sometimes we leave the recipe alone and enjoy the simple treat as is. Other times we like to add an extra ingredient or two to the recipe to make them new and exciting.

Today I am going to share my my favorite keto fudge brownie recipe. I will also share a list of optional ingredients that really add a fun twist.

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup Lily’s chocolate chips (divided in half)
1/2 cup superfine blanched almond flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup Lakanto Sugar-Free POWDERED Munk Fruit sweetener
3 large eggs

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°. Butter the sides and bottom of an 8 x 8-inch pan with and then set to the side. In a small sauce pan, heat the butter and 1/2 of the Lily’s chocolate chips on low; until smooth and glossy and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine the superfine blanched almond flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and Lakanto Sugar-Free POWDERED Munk Fruit sweetener. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the eggs until they are frothy. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the eggs slowly and continue mixing. Then, in several increments, add the dry ingredients to the liquids and mix until they are incorporated. Gently fold in the remaining Lily’s chocolate chips. Spoon your brownie batter into the 8×8-inch buttered pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Allow the brownies to completely cool before cutting.

Optional ingredients-
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper mixed into the brownie batter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon mixed into the brownie batter
1 tsp. peppermint extract mixed into the brownie batter
1/4 cup of chopped nuts mixed into the brownie batter
1/4 cup of melted nut butter drizzled on the top of the brownie batter
1/4 cup of melted cream cheese drizzled on the top of the brownie batter

Do you like to add extra ingredients to your brownie recipe?
