Earlier this year I got a knife set from Paris Rhone. I’ve been really happy with the knives, so when I had the chance to review a fan from them, I was happy to.

We rely on a window A/c during most of the summer, but we tend to utilize fans more in late spring and early fall, meaning it’s “fan season” for us right now. We also keep a fan in our bedroom year-round. We like the noise and we both like sleeping in a room that is slightly chilled rather than at a completely comfortable temperature. I know some of my other family members like to sleep with fans on year-round, too. 

Anyway. I’ve mentioned how absolutely tiny my house is, a bit under 400 square feet. As a result of that, having a fan with a low profile is ideal. I like how this PARIS RHONE Tower Fan with Remote is slim yet powerful. 

It can be locked into one position or it can be left on in rotation. When on rotation mode it moves 90 degrees. This covers more space than our old fans did. I think this could be seen as a big perk if you’re looking for a fan that will blow across a wide area. If you’re looking for a fan that will rotate to cover maybe the head to the foot of your bed, this is a bit less ideal because it will turn farther than you need.

The top of the fan has a display and buttons for control. It has 5 speed modes, with the lowest being quite light and the highest being pretty powerful. The “mode” button (the four squares) rotates through a night setting, a ‘nature’ setting and a regular fan setting. The nature setting will blow in a somewhat inconsistent intensity, so it will feel more like wind. When the night setting is on, you can only go from levels 1-3 rather than all the way up to five, and I believe it’s supposed to be a bit quieter, too. 

It also has a mute setting that you can access by holding down the mode button for a while until it beeps. It’ll then display a symbol that is a crossed-out microphone. Honestly, I don’t notice the fan getting any quieter when this setting is on. There is a noticeable sound difference depending on how strong the fan is on, though. So if you need a quiet fan I’d suggest just using one of the lower speeds. Despite the mute button not seeming to do much ,I find this fan fairly quiet compared to many. The fan can also be programmed to turn off after a set amount of time. You can adjust the length of time in 1-hour increments from 1 hour to 12 hours. 

The fan comes with a remote control so you can adjust the settings from a distance if you prefer. It ships to you in a few parts, but we had it assembled in less than 5 minutes without reading the instruction booklet. Quite simple! We’ve been really pleased with using this fan to keep us comfortable as we transition towards fall, and for sleeping at night. 

The only improvement I can think of, is I wish the buttons lit up. I have tried to use the buttons on the fan to adjust the speed at night, and while the display stays lit up, the buttons are black and don’t light up so they’re hard to see in the dark.
