I have a Eureka Innova v/c. Bought about 18 months ago. For a good time it worked well with good suction, but recently the suction out of the hose is minimal. When I disconnect the hose from the base, there’s great suction at the opening. Something must be blocking the hose, but I don’t see anything. It also won’t pick up anything with the floor brush. Overall it makes a loud noise like a jet engine revving up.
The hell with it! I’m junking it and have bought a Dyson.

This is a really good vacuum and maybe the best you can buy for under 500.00. It was impressive removing it from the box and reaks high quality. It has very powerful suction from its 1440 watt motor and picks up more dirt than my Hoover, Vissel or Dyson and I ran all 3 over my basement carpet and then the Innova and it picked up much more dirt and its cartridge had as much dirst as the 3 other canisters combined. It is not perfect however, so make sure you know your needs. It is relatively heavy to lift despite ease of movement and turning, so I wouldn’t buy it for a frail senior. It has no adjustment for carpet height, so for higher pile carpets it is hard to maneuver and seems like it would wear the carpet. However, I did discover that using the low power/quiet works well on high pile, so they should recommend that. Also, it has no wind back feature for the cord, unlike some other models including my Dyson. Finally, there are about 10% of reviews indicating the anti-tange roller gets clogged inside without a way to open it up to clean it. Nonetheless, you are unlikely to find a better vacuum for under 500.00, its on sale for half price at Walmart right now and it’s competitor, the Shark Rotator is more expensive and does not have as strong suction and doesn’t come with a motized stair / pet attachment – a very nice feature that works very well. I bought another one for myself after buying one as a Christmas present for my ex-wife and being impressed with it. In summary, this is a really good vacuum and certainly the best bang for the buck.

This just seems like an ad for the features of the vacuum. There is no semblance of a review here other than it works. How about addressing the actual performance of the features, at a minimum how it does with different debris. This was an extreme waste of time to read this ad.

I have the same vacuum and after 1 year it died and started smoking right underneath the heap filter area. I’ve emptied canister and cleaned hepa filters every 7-10 days. Everything was working fine until it wasn’t. I called Eureka and they offered a full refund.

I’m middle age. I’ve had several vacuum cleaners in my lifetime. This one was perfect until it died. Have never had a vacuum break down after 1 year. Wild!

In reply to Carol. I also have the same issue with mine. The roller has stopped working as well. I tried to look at it to see if we could fix it, only because it has the best suction on a vacuum that I have ever had.

In reply to Gina. Hello, Gina. Thank you for your comment. The website had a lot of great features to share. :) I have had my Eureka NEU700 Innova Upright Vacuum for almost two months. I have used it to clean my home from top to bottom- vacuuming cobwebs from the ceiling, day-to-day stuff from our floors, plus dust from a bathroom renovation. It really is a great vacuum cleaner. I haven't had any issues with it. I hope this helps. Laurie

This is powerful, however, the roller brush died after a few months and I returned and purchased it again, hoping that it was a fluke. My second one had the same issue after four months. I used it once per week on both low carpet and hardwood flooring. This vacuum cleaner was never abused, cup was emptied after each use, and filter was monitored and cleaned as needed. Obviously, there is an issue with the roller brush and now Eureka is offering to send me another one of the same!!! Really??

This sounds like a vac that kicks butt! Have to share with my sister in law. They live in the country , 2 dogs and a cat and a big Bird! And all kinds of dirt get tracked in from 4 difference entrances.
