Oh, great question! For a blowout, it wouldn’t be too bad as the seat pad would hopefully catch it all and is easily removed to wash. If there’s a vomit situation, this seat doesn’t appear to be as easy to clean as some (although most are fairly tricky in my opinion.) The main part of the seat would most likely need to be hand cleaned.

CLEANING SEAT PAD: Machine wash pad in cold water with gentle soap on delicate cycle & drip dry.

CLEANING BUCKLE: Place in a cup of warm water and gently agitate the buckle. Press red button several times while in the water. Do not submerge the buckle strap. Do not use soap, detergents or lubricants.

CLEANING HARNESS: Surface wash only with mild soap & damp cloth or wipes. Do not immerse harness straps or latch strap in water.

CLEANING HARDGOODS: Metal and plastic parts may be cleaned with mild soap & cool water.

Hi! I just came across this review and am wondering if you have any observations on how easy this car seat is to clean? It doesn’t appear to have the “Rapid Remove” cover available on other Graco convertible car seats, which seems like a feature I might miss, given that car seats can get so messy. Have you found the cover easy to remove for washing purposes, or not so much? Thanks!

My grandkids are now past the age of car seats, but I know from experience, how reassuring it is to have a safe choice that is easy to use.

This definitely sounds like an amazing car seat; the rotating feature is a real game changer! I have always loved the Graco brand. Besides the awesome way it rotates, I also love the easy to adjust feature! I have always dreaded having to adjust the height of the straps because taking it all apart is such a pain. That alone is a huge selling point, and the fact that you can open the hatch! I really like how comfortable it is, this is a must for baby. I would without a doubt purchase this seat for my next baby, I love how it grows with them too!

The rotation feature just BLOWS. MY. MIND!! Why have we never seen this before?! It’s pure genius!! Finally able to get your child out of the car EASY instead of twisting yourself all weird lol!! Love it!

I know NOTHING about car seats but this looks like a good one. One that can grow with child is so great. Car seats are not cheap but to get a good one its worth the cost
