Goldens are sweet, amazing dogs – we had a golden mix we adopted as a senior after her human died, and he was a wonderful old man. We missed out on his puppyhood, which I think was a mixed blessing, lol! Good luck with your new little companion. (P.S.: I had to laugh when you used the phrase “potty training” instead of “house training” – it’s obvious you’ve had a lot of experience with babies of the human variety!!)
