I want to start by saying I love goodwill and other thrift shops. I go there a lot, buy stuff a lot and am usually thrilled by my purchase.
However, sometimes I realize why things were donated to goodwill.
Ryan only had one pair of swim trunks, which can be inconvenient when we want to go swimming two days in a row or even a couple days after we did the first time, seems how it’s just the two of us I only do laundry once or twice a week.
Anyway, so we were in goodwill last week and I glanced at the swimtrunks at goodwill, most of them were rainbow colored, or green with red hawaiian flowers, etc. Then I saw this blue pair with a green waistband. Wow. Some normal ones! And Ryan’s size, too! I showed them to him and he approved, so we bought them. I was impressed with my find.
A couple days later we went to go swimming, and as we head out to the pool he starts laughing and says
“You know how men’s swim trunks always have a liner to hold everything in, or whatever”
“I didn’t know that, but okay”
“Usually the liner is just like the swim trunks…boxer shaped”
“right.”
“Well, these ones were left at goodwill because they are well, panty shaped. Small panties, at that”
