Clean Spirited is a company with a conscience. They strive to provide alternative clothing options that are better for our earth. Their about me states “We know it’s hard to live a fully impact free life. We all make a dent in the great green earth. Every little bit we can do to help is better for the greater good, so consider the product alternatives that CleanSpirited.com offers.” I really like that statement. I started slowly going green about a year and a half ago, and becuase I live on a budget, there are parts of my life that are green and some that still aren’t, but I’m thankful for the changes that I am able to make. I think going green is great, but for many of us being 100% green isn’t possible, especially for financial reasons. Sometimes going green is expensive! It doesn’t have to be though. Clean Spirited offers clothing that is priced more affordably than many other eco-friendly clothing lines, which is great for people like me who make “to go green” or not decisions based primarily on cost. I was generously sent two clothing articles for review, both of which are reasonable priced. The t shirt I received is a navy blue organic cotton tshirt. It’s lightweight and short sleeved, making it great for summer wear or for layering with other shirts over it. Like most organic clothing, it’s really soft and comfortable to wear. I was sent a medium and it seemed a bit on the big side to me, but I typically buy juniors clothing so that could account for the size difference, seems how it’s from a women’s line. The short sleeved women’s t shirts range from 12.00-20.00, which I love! When you visit individual product pages you can see the clean spirited rating, which is an easy to read scale that tells you where the garment falls on a ‘green’ scale rating, so you don’t have to search the fine print to determine how eco-friendly the piece is.

I was also sent a hoodie for review. The hoodie is incredibly soft. I almost want to snuggle up with it like a blanket. The inside is like a baby blanket and the outside is soft and smushy. The hoodie also seemed size a bit bigger than I had expected, but again i’m used to juniors sizing so that could be why. With hoodies though, over sized just means it’s really comfortable so I don’t mind that at all. The women’s hoodies at clean spirited range from 38.00-40.00, so again real reasonable.
