Here on my blog there are two great prizes!
The first is a 16″ by 20″ photo canvas with free shipping ($126.99 value) from photoartpeople.com. I have a review coming up with them, and will get into all the details about them in that post so stay tuned. However, you should know that I have worked with a couple different photo canvas companies and photo art people is better than the other guys for a few reasons. One being, they were able to use a photo of mine that “the other guy” said was too small to even attempt to make into a canvas. They also remove the date from your image, get rid of red eye, brighten colors and reduce shadows for no extra cost to you. They also have a great promotion going on where you can get 20% off OR use their code to buy one get the second free if you use the same image. So if you have a great photo of your kids, you can pay to have one made for your parents, and get a copy for your hubby’s parents free. This is a great way to save on holiday gifts!
The second would make a great gift for the teen girl or woman on your list. Stephanie from SG Designs has offered up one of her gorgeous bracelets which are authentic semiprecious stone bracelets. She also has a section of faux semiprecious stone bracelets. The winner will be able to choose a bracelet of their choice from the sg designs website. In addition to bracelets, SG Designs also has hand painted greeting cards, semiprecious stone necklaces and photography for those in the virginia area.

Heelys Review

jazzy heely x2I was about 10 years old when I first heard about shoes that had wheels in them. I wound up getting a pair, and the soles were probably three inches thick because they contained the wheels. However, the shoes themselves looked really silly – like moonshoes almost. They weren’t practical for regular everyday wear and I don’t think I wore them more than maybe five times. I’ve seen modern day kids wearing similar, super bulky shoes with wheels now, but there is a much better option. Heelys shoes provide all the fun of having shoes with wheels, without wearing awkward, clunky shoes. In fact, heelys shoes look just like any other shoe until you look at the bottom where the wheels are. My sister is 8 and has small feet for her age, she just grew to a shoe size of 12 in kids. The smallest size that heelys carries is 12, so she was finally able to get a pair in her size. She picked out the Jazzy x2 heelys style which are pretty basic black and white heelys that could be for either gender. These are part of the “x2″ line which have two wheels on the heel of each shoe instead of just one. This is great for young children or for people who are new to heelys because they are easier to balance in. Even with two wheels per shoe, they take some getting used to. My sister was nervous and afraid to give them a genuine try though she did manage to figure out how to walk in the shoes by keeping most of her weight towards the front of her foot without using the wheel. The heelys come with a tool that helps to pop the wheels in and out, and covers that can be placed over the holes when the wheels are removed so they can be used like everyday shoes. Heelys aren’t just for young kids, and come in sizes as large as men’s 12 or a women’s 13.
