Cabbage Patch Kids (Holiday Gift Guide)

In 1977, Xavier Roberts began working with needle molding, a form of sculpting and quilting. In 1978, he started marketing his little people that could be adopted. It was a hit; parents were willing to pay the $40 adoption fee. By 1982, long term licensing agreements had been met and Xavier started calling his little people, Cabbage Patch Kids. In 1990, the handmade originals were popular with collectors and had adoptions fees of $190.00 and up. 65 million Cabbage Patch Kids had been adopted to date.

Mouthman Hoodies Review and #Giveaway (Holiday Gift Guide)
When I first saw hoodies that had the hood made into a character or creature, I thought they were so cute and bought one for my niece. It was cute, but it wasn’t practical as she had to put the hood on to use it, and she, like most kids don’t enjoy wearing hoods. Plus, most schools don’t allow children to wear hats or hoods so it would rarely get used even if she did like using it. Mouthman hoodies is a company who came up with a unique way to turn your child into their favorite animal without having to wear ahood. Instead, they use the elbow portions of the hoodie to create a mouth that can “talk” when your child moves their arms. The belly of the hoodie contains the body of the animal so that when their arms are crossed in front, the head appears to be placed on top of the body. Or when arms are down at the sides, the head of the animal can be seen as well.
If you have a geeky boyfriend or husband like me, or if you have a bit of child left in you yourself, you can even order yourself an adult mouthman hoodie as they come in womens and mens sizes as well. There are tons of options that my nephews would like, including a few dinosaurs, a shark, a dragon, etc. There are also animated hoodies that the little girly girls I know would like, such as the sock monkey hoodie and the xoxo heart hoodie.
One Stop Christmas Hop #Giveaway
The one stop Christmas hop is here! I have two prizes that will be given away to one winner here in this blog post, and lots of other bloggers are having giveaways for this event as well. So once you’re done entering here be sure to check out the other links in the linky because there are some great prizes to be had on the other sites as well.

Here on my site, my first sponsor is providing a necklace of winners choice from the gratulari line which is found at complimentquotient.com. The necklaces are two sided and have a compliment on each side, and are a great way to remind a loved one that they have great qualities about them and to help them feel good about themselves. At 13.95 each, they make a very affordable gift for the woman or girl on your list and would fit great in a stocking as well.

The second prize is being sponsored by me and is an 11.00 gift card to my etsy shop, emmy’s boo’s and rawr’s where you can buy stuffed monster toys.
