GoldToe socks were brought to life in the 20th Century by two German immigrants. They started out with small production company named Great American Knitting Mills. From their beginning, they knew that a “golden opportunity” would come their way, and it did after the Depression. Americans wanted a high quality product that would last a long time, and not cost a lot of money. Gold Toe socks were their answer.

For my review, I received the Over the Knee Cuff Sock, in black. GoldToe socks are manufactured with reinforced high quality yarns, rounded heels, and flattened seams to ensure the most comfortable and longest lasting wear. The best way to describe these is to say that they are a comforting knit sweater for your legs and feet. The velvety knit cuff can be worn up or folded down; I was more comfortable wearing mine folded down. On a particularly cold winter night in Oregon, I decided to try wearing my new Over the Knee Cuff Socks to bed. I was expecting to wake up with sweaty feet or to find that they had come off in the middle of the night but, neither was the case. Day or night, my feet stay dry and warm in my new socks.
I love these socks; I hope to get a couple more pairs. I am also making a mental note to wear them next year when I stand out in the freezing rain for 5 hours waiting for a Black Friday sale.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
