One option you can choose from Ornaments with Love
At first glance, the Ornaments with Love website is a pretty basic ornament website with lots of product pictures, and after just a few clicks, it’s easy to get sucked in looking at all they have to offer. They have a really great selection of ornaments and, after receiving mine, I think they are even more cute in person!
There are so many options to choose from including ornaments to add names or faces for 8-12 people–perfect for large families, or grandparents! There are some great character ornaments for kids, sports teams, hobbies, professions, and even traditional ball ornaments. You can find an ornament for just about any person or occasion. They also offer picture frames and table top decorations.
Every year we buy my daughter an ornament to represent what has happened that year, or something that was a favorite. Last year was a ‘Where the Wild Things Are‘ ornament–it was her favorite book and a staple bedtime read. Since we purchased our very first home and we did not get anything to commemorate that last year, I chose a Personalized House with Wreath Christmas Ornament to review. Though, I will tell you, it was hard not picking that Auburn Tiger!
Our ornament arrived very quickly, and was well packaged to prevent damage. It was double wrapped in one layer of thicker brown paper, then a layer of tissue paper. The ornament was snuggled up in a bubble insert just big enough for the size of the ornament. It also came with an extra little cellophane type bag and tie in case it was a gift. I thought that this was a nice touch. The ornament is much heavier than I anticipated. It’s the kind of ornament I would still put up on the tree, but not on the bottom for the kids and family pets to mess with. The painting is beautifully done, it is so tiny and delicate. I love the subtle sparkles of the glitter used for the snow. I have been handling this ornament quite a bit lately, and have yet to have glitter rub off–it is sealed quite well. My ornament measured around 3.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide.
My Personalized House with Wreath Ornament
Their personalization options are plentiful and you can add any wording or phrase that you would like. The thing I was most worried about was the spelling of our last name, which is misspelled quite often. It was perfect and exactly like I had written on their forms. I was very impressed.
I don’t like that the back of the ornament came with a plain sticker that displayed the website information. I like knowing where it came from, but over time I can see the sticker not lasting. I wouldn’t mind if the web address had been painted on, or even stamped for a more permanent result.
Overall, I was really impressed with the ornament from Ornaments with Love. They offer good quality ornaments with enough variety that I can see myself buying ornaments from them in the future.
