Most of you have probably heard that in two weeks Google will be shutting down Google Reader. I currently have about 3,300 followers who use Google Reader. If you are one of them, please make sure that you look into a new way to begin following my blog before Google shuts down so that you don’t lose track of my site. There are six options for keeping up with Emily Reviews:
1) BlogLovin – This is a fairly new site that lets you subscribe to blogs without the blogger having to even set up subscriptions. You can log into Bloglovin and see all of the new blog posts from all of the blogs you follow in one place. You can also get a daily email from BlogLovin that will compile that days new blog posts from all the blogs you follow into a single email. Those of you who currenly follow lots of blogs via email may find this useful as it will condense the number of emails you get without having to lose out on any of the blogs you follow. I personally choose to you Bloglovin to follow blogs via email that don’t have feedburner set up. Emails are my favorite way to keep up with blogs and it used to be so frustrating to be unable to follow blogs if the blogger hadn’t set up feedburner. Now I can! Follow Emily Reviews on Bloglovin.
2) Facebook. You an ‘like’ the Emily Reviews facebook fan page. I publish all of our blog posts to our Facebook page at least once, though it sometimes take a day or two before they get sent out. Facebook doesn’t allow fans to view every post that fanpages post, so you’ll have to manually visit our fan page to be sure that you haven’t missed anything. Follow Emily Reviews on Facebook.
3) Twitter – We are really active on twitter so feel free to follow us there. Twitter goes very quickly, so be sure to visit our twitter page regularly to make sure you don’t miss anything. Follow Emily Reviews on Twitter.
4) Google Plus – Our google plus page automatically posts our new blog posts to our Google plus. If you’re an active google plus member, be sure to follow Emily Reviews on google plus.
5) Feedburner – You can sign up for our once daily emails in the sidebar. Most days we have several posts, and you’ll get an email each day that lists all of our new blog posts for that day. a href=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/EmmysBoosAndRawrs” rel=”nofollow”>Follow Emily Reviews via Feedburner.
6) Pinterest – You can follow me and/or my boards on Pinterest. I publish reviews to my “gift ideas for…” and “product review” pin boards. I publish our giveaways on my Giveaway board. Follow me on Pinterest. (Or select which individual boards you’d like to follow).

Yeah it’s a bummer :(. Thankfully, I don’t get asked for my subscriber count all that often so I’m not sure it’ll hurt me in terms of sponsors, I just hate the idea that some of my readers who are used to following me with it will forget to switch over to another method and then stop following as a result.
