I’ve always been a short-hair kinda girl. From age 4-13 or so, I had just below chin length or shorter hair! Most of the time it was that straight bang, straight chin length hair cut. From 13-16 or so I kept my hair at my shoulders, but if it got more than an inch or so past there, id’ chop it off.
Well this past spring I decided I wanted to grow my hair out, and so my last hair cut that wasn’t just a trim was in may, and my hair is now about an inch above my bra strap in back. Which is a total change for me. So I’ve been trying to come up with new ways to style my hair, because i’ve never really had the chance to use any girly hair accessories before because my hair was always too short!
I contacted coveryourhair and they said they’d be happy to have a review and giveaway with me. I was excited to find out what my surprise review products would be when they told me they were sending me $25 worth of surprise items from their store. I love surprises! This is what showed up.
I love it! I never would have picked the hat out for myself, but when I put it on I really liked it! and I love the print of them both. I’m from a town of around 1,000 people, and have a soft spot for flannel and plaid!
Being silly when I first got the items, I wrapped the scarf (which is very wide!) around my entire head and neck (like an old lady sort of? hehe) and then we decided to run to the post office to drop something off for my etsy shop. I forgot I had it wrapped around my face/head and was amazed and how well it protected my cheeks! Here in michigan we’ve had a few REALLY bitter days, and it seems like my cheeks get the worst of the wind, so since I accidentally left it hat way the first day, I’ve been intentionally doing it since then, even though it probably looks a little goofy – it makes the wind so much more bearable!
